Elderly woman robbed in graveyard

A 83 year old woman had her purse snatched in the graveyard of St James Church, Bulkington, near Bedworth, North warwickshire at shortly after 4pm on Friday 17 September.

The woman was in the graveyard at the church, attending a family grave when she was approached by a man who engaged her in conversation. After speaking to her for about ten minutes the man walked off towards School Lane, Bulkington, where it is believed he got into an old style Ford Fiesta car. The woman noticed that her shopping trolley had been disturbed and on looking inside discovered her purse, which had ben at the top of the bag, was missing.

The man is described as being white male and approximately 5ft 6 inches tall.
