CMPG - Incident M5 Junction 2-3

At 12:15 hrs on Wednesday 30 November 2005 a collision occurred on the M5 Motorway between junction 2 and 3, on the Southbound carriageway.

Involved were pedestrian and a Volkswagen golf motor car

As a result of the collision, a local female believed to be in her 60s suffered fatal injuries.

Officers from the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG), supported by specialist officers from West Midlands Police are investigating the collision.

As a result of the collision the M5 motorway between junctions two and three was closed for the enquiry to be completed. At this time the closure is still in place but is expected to be lifted shortly.
