Firearms incident Henley In Arden: Man arrested and charged.

Incident 571 - October 30 - Disturbance, One Stop Convenience Store, High Street, Henley in Arden.

Police have charged a man in connection with a disturbance in Henley in Arden High Street on Sunday evening October 30.

Police were called at 18 30 to reports of a man pointing a handgun at staff in One Stop Convenience Store and at passers by on Henley High Street.

Two local teenagers are alleged to have disarmed the man prior to police arrival.

An imititation handgun was recovered by police and a 28 year old Henley in Arden man arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

The man was taken to Warwick hospital for treatment. He was detained in hospital until yesterday, Tuesday November 1, when he was released from Warwick hospital and taken into custody for questioning by detectives.

Desmond Catterall, 28, of High Street, Henley in Arden has been charged with Possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear. He is due to appear before Mid WArwickshire magistrates at Leamington Spa later today when police will apply for a remand in custody.
