Incident 105 of 18 May 2005, Burglary, Hartshill, Nuneaton

The occupant of a property in Castle Road, Hartshill, Nuneaton awoke at around 0800 hours on Wednesday 18 May to find they had been broken into overnight. Entry was gained via an insecure downstairs window and a number of items stolen including a handbag containing £150 cash, a pair of Rockport shoes, two mobile phones, a playstation and a diamond cluster ring.

A police spokesperson said

"We would urge householders to make sure all doors and accessible windows are locked overnight and keys are removed from doors and stored out of sight in a cupboard or drawer. "

Incident 590 of 18 May 2005, Non stop RTC Mancetter Road, Hartshill, Nuneaton

Police are appealing for witnesses following a non stop RTC in which a 47 year old female driver from Bedworth was injured. The incident occurred just after 9pm on Wednesday evening 18 May 2005 just outside De Mulder & Sons on the Mancetter Road, Hartshill, Nuneaton. The injured female from Bedworth, was driving a blue Fiat Ulysee along the Nuneaton Road (B4111) towards Mancetter. When approaching a left hand bend she saw an unknown make of blue car on the wrong side of the road coming towards her. She swerved mounting the curb and hit a tree head on. The driver of the unknown make of blue car failed to stop. The female driver was taken to George Elliot Hospital suffering from whiplash and bruising. She was not detained.

PC 384 Williams is appealing for anyone who may have seen these vehicles travelling on the Nuneaton (B4111) at 9pm or shortly before 9pm last night Wednesday 18 May to contact her at Atherstone Police Station on 01827 718 092 x 3619.

Incident 445 of 18 May 2005 Attempted robbery North Street, Rugby

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15 year old schoolboy was the victim of an attempted robbery whilst waiting for a bus in North Street, Rugby on Wednesday evening 18 May. The incident occured at 6pm when the youth was standing at the bus stop and was approached by 5 males. One of males hit the youth around the face with his hand and tried to grab his bag. However the victim held on to the bag and the youths ran off without it. The five males are described as white, aged between 15 and 17, wearing blue navy tracksuit bottoms and tops. They ran off in the direction of the Gala Bingo Hall.
