Police in Coleshill are appealing for help after a unique hand painted Lambretta motor scooter was stolen from a garage workshop in Corley.
The hand painted tribute scooter, features designs of The Who pop group and has been signed by three members of the band, Roger Daltry, Pete Townsend and the late John Entwhistle.
The bike is totally irreplaceable and unique.
It was among seven Lambrettas stolen in a raid on the work shop near to Corley Nurseries in Church lane, Corley overnight Sunday into Monday 22 August when the thieves cut through the outer gates and broke into the workshop.
The thieves must have used a vehicle to load the scooters on to.
Among the six other Lambretta scooters taken is a Lambretta Rossa in black, which is the numbered 3 of only seven similar machines in the world.
Together the haul is valued in excess of £25,000, although to Lambretta enthusiasts the hand painted tribute scooter and the Lambretta Rossa are priceless.
Both vehicles are well known in scooter enthusiast circles and have won prizes at national and international shows.
Also taken in the raid on the workshop were a number of mechanics tools.
The owners of the Lambrettas have offered a £2000 reward for information leading to the return of the scooters. The theft has prompted the owners to move to new premises.
