Incident 77 January 22 - criminal damage to vehicles, Cawston, Rugby.

Four males were arrested in connection with criminal damage after vehicles were sprayed with paint in Cawston and Princethorpe.

Reports of criminal damage to around 15 vehicles was reported during the early hours of Sunday January 22.

Police were alerted to reports of four men in a white van with no front registration plate spraying cars in Fosse Crescent, Princethorpe at 01 34. Four males were arrested shortly afterwards on a traffic island between Cawston and Princethorpe . Vehicles and properties were damaged with spray paint in Somerset Place, Cawston, Whitefriars Drive, Cawston, Creswell Place, Cawston, Gold Avenue, Cawston ; Scholars Drive, Cawston, Bourton Road, Princethorpe and Fosse Crescent, Princethorpe. The white spray paint used is believed to have been the type used for marking lines on sports pitches.

Four males aged 14, 21, 26 and 28 were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and taken to Rugby Police station for questioning. They were later released on police bail pending further inquiries. Anyone whose property has been damaged with spray paint over the weekend who has not yet reported the incident to police is asked to call 01788 541111 and ask to be put through to the crimedesk.
