Robbery, One Stop Convenience Store, Rugby Road, Binley Woods
Incident 725, April 24
Two female shop assistants were threatened at knifepoint and forced to hand over the contents of a till during an incident at the One Stop Convenience Store, in Rugby Road, Binley Woods on Monday April 24.
At about 22.50hrs an Asian male wearing a balaclava ran into the store holding a black handled kitchen knife with a 5" blade and demanded money from the till.
One of the shop assistants ran to the rear of the store and called the police and the other opened the till for the offender.
The male took the till tray and cash as well as an unknown quantity of cigarettes and made off in an unknown direction.
The two assistants, who are aged 16 and 18, were not physically injured.
Police in Rugby would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the vicinity or can identify the offender and can be contacted on 01926 415000.
