Police investigate three linked robberies, Rugby
Incidents 702, 716 and 759 July 7 - robberies, Rugby.
Detectives in Rugby are investigating three street robberies on Friday evening July 7 involving a group of men targeting wallets and mobile telephones.
The robberies happened in Reservoir Road, near Tom Brown street and at a location somewhere between the railway station and Brownsover.
At around 21 35 in Reservoir Road a man was approached by two black men in a group of six or eight. He was hit over the head and had his mobile telephone and wallet stolen.
In the Tom Brown Street area in a similar incident at around 22 40 a male was hit over the head before his wallet and telephone were taken. He suffered a large bump to his forehead, scratches to his left cheek and a bump to his head caused as he fell to the ground. He was treated at St Cross hospital.
The third incident happened as a man walked from the railway station toward Brownsover. Five males approached him from behind at around 21 30 and punched him in his face and stomach and demanded cash and telephone.
Police are seeking a group of black or mixed race males wearing black or dark coloured hooded tops and their faces covered and jeans or tracksuits.
