Police investigate report of robbery, Old Black Bank, Exhall near Bedworth

Incident 24 - July 2 - Report of robbery, Old Blackbank, Black Bank, Exhall.

Police were alerted at 00 20 early hours of Sunday July 2 to reports of a robbery at Old Blackbank.

Three men wearing hoods covering their faces and carrying a crowbar and a hammer escaped in a dark Peugeot car after the incident and drove off toward the Bayton Road Industrial Estate.

They climbed up onto a flat roof and confronted the landlord. They demanded he open the safe and escaped with two cash tills containing cash before driving off in the dark coloured car.

DC 624 Dave King is investigating the incident. He is appealing for any witnesses in the area who may have seen the intruders or the car to contact Nuneaton and Bedworth CID on 02476 641111.
