Elderly Nuneaton woman victim of distraction burglary

Incident 296 - August 23.

A big and burly bogus caller stole cash from an 86 year old woman in Hanover Glebe, Nuneaton.

The man visited her home between 11 30 and 11 45 on Wednesday morning August 23.

He said he was coming to fit new lights and went inside. While the woman was distracted he stole a black leather purse containing approximately £35 cash.

The offender is described as white, about five feet nine inches tall, aged late 30s or early 40s. He was big and burly with a round chubby face. He was clean shaven and had short brown hair. He was wearing a fawn coloured anorak and dark trousers.
