A 15 year old boy who was on an errand to the local shop in Bulkington yesterday evening (Tuesday 27 March) was confronted by a group of up to ten youths as he walked near Hemsworth Drive.

He was surrounded by the gang, and one of them, carrying a golf club hit him around the back of his head while others in the group filmed the attack on their mobile phones.

The youth managed to escape and ran home. He did not require hospital treatment.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who knows anything about the incident to come forward and speak to the police at Bedworth on 02476 6431111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

A police spokesperson said, "To attack someone with a golf club is bad enough, but for the incident then to be filmed is beyond belief. We are keen to hear from anyone who knows about the attack, or anyone who may be shown images of the attack."
