Inc 270 Tuesday 24 April - mower stolen, Nuneaton

An 1100 Briggs and Stratton mower has been stolen from a barn in a field near to Moorwood Lane, Nuneaton.

The mower was stolen some time between 4pm on Sunday 22 April and 12 noon on Tuesday 24, although the thieves did not take the cutter attachment.

Anyone who has information about the theft is asked t contact the Northern Area Crimedesk on 02476 643111.

Police also remind members of the public to ensure gardening equipment, including mowers, is stored safely under lock and key. Lawn mowers and other larger items should be chained to an immovable object inside of the shed or garage where they are stored. Other equipment can be chained together and then chained to the structure of the shed, or other permanent fixture. This makes removing the equipment more difficult for potential thieves.

Items should also be clearly marked with identifiable marks such as your post code, which will again act as a deterrent to thieves.
