Life threatening Traffic collision - M40

At approximately 1710 hrs on Saturday 5 November 2005 a collision occurred on the M40 Motorway between junction 16 and 15, on the southbound carriageway.

Involved was a white Citroen Relay panel van which collided with the central reservation. As a result of the collision, the driver of the van, a male from the Coventry area, received serious life threatening injuries and was taken to Walsgrave hospital.

Officers from the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG), supported by specialist officers from Warwickshire Police are investigating the collision.
