Armed Robbery Earlswood

Two men escaped in a green Rover 200 car after a robbery at the Stars News shop, Umberslade Road, Earlswood, at 19 45 on Saturday September 11.

Two men entered the shop dressed in dark clothing with faces covered by balaclavas.

One man stayed at the front door of the shop pointing a hand gun at two members of staff.

The other man took cash from the shop till and kicked the door to a rear store room where he took cash from another till.

He also took a handbag belonging to a customer before both men ran off to a waiting car – a green L registered Rover 200 that sped off along Valley Road toward Norton Road. No shots were fired.

The offenders are believed to have visited Londis stores at Wythall before the incident and are described as white men aged late teens or early 20s.

Police are liasing with colleagues at West Midlands Police as the car and offenders believed to be involved in a robberies in Harborne and Rednal Birmingham on Friday evening.
