Witness appeal following fatal accident

PC 1628 Adrian Davis is appealing for witnesses to a fatal road accident at 04 15 on Tuesday September 21 on the A429 Fosse Way near to the junction with the D6566 at Darlingscott,Shipston on Stour.

A man in his 20s from Shipston was walking on the A429 toward Shipston.

He was hit by a Mercedes sprinter van also travelling toward Shipston driven by a 35 year old Coventry man who was not injured.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

PC 1628 Davis is appealing for witness information from any drivers who may have seen the man walking from Stratford toward Shipston in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
