Police appeal: Serious assault in Leamington Spa

Police were called to the Hope and Anchor public house, Hill Street, Leamington at 22 15 on Friday evening, September 24.

A 47 year old Leamington man was walking home when he was attacked outside the pub by a man who kicked him several times in the head while he was on the ground, causing serious facial injuries.

He was taken to Warwick hospital and later transferred to Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital with a serious eye injury.

The offender is described as white male, aged 18 –20, slim build, wearing long sleeved top and light coloured baseball cap. Police in Leamington are appealing for witnesses.

Anyone with information is asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111. Information can be left anonymously and a reward is on offer for information that leads to the arrest and charge of an offender.
